Soul Sisters' Book Club is a great way to learn and grow together as a Sisterhood in Christ.  The details below will give you more information on how our unique book club works.

Soul Sisters' Book Club

Welcome, Ladies, to our Soul Sisters' Book Club!  We are beyond excited to share our reading experiences together.  We will read through a book together but at each person's own pace.  We will meet together in-person or on Zoom at New Life Church on the last Friday of each month at 6:00pm for dinner and hanging out.

Chat Group - Woohoo!

Because time is limited and everyone will be reading at their own pace, we created a chat group to share how the book has impacted you as you read.  You can even respond to others' Aha moments. You can write as much or as little as you want. You do not have to join or participate in the chat group.

Staying Connected Across the Miles

Our time together at the end of each month will also allow for those who are not able to be at New Life in person still be a part of the book club.  Zoom will allow everyone to participate no matter where you are.

February and March's Featured Reading: Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore
A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together

Based on a True Story . . . It seems unlikely that these two men would meet under normal circumstances, but when Deborah Hall, Ron's wife, meets Denver, she sees him through God's eyes of compassion. When Deborah is diagnosed with cancer, she charges Ron with the mission of helping Denver. From this request, an extraordinary friendship forms between Denver and Ron, changing them both forever. A tale told in two unique voices, Same Kind of Different as Me weaves two completely different life experiences into one common journey. There is pain and laughter, doubt and tears, and in the end a triumphal story that readers will never forget.
